Yes to Children

A political action committee created in 2000 to support Scottsdale School bonds and overrides.

Arizona public schools receive $4,415 less per student than the national average. Luckily, schools can request voters to increase funding up to 10% in the form of a District Additional Assistance Override (capital) for seven years.

Thanks to the support of our community, our students are currently benefiting from the override approved in 2016.

By law it must be renewed and residents will have the opportunity to continue supporting our children by voting YES on their November 8th ballot

Override Questions

When was the last district assistance override?

ANSWER:

Voters approved the current DAA Override in 2016 which provided the District with $8.5 million for additional capital items. It runs through June 30, 2024.

If you currently have a district assistance override, why are you asking for another one?

ANSWER:

The current DAA Override is set to expire on June 30, 2024. The District is asking that it be renewed a year ahead of time so that if it does not pass November 8, 2022, it has the option of calling for another election before the funds expire.
